I love this book so much that when I found it at a tag sale, I donated it to my library. Is it still in print? It should be - but if it is not, hunt it down. Want to instill a sense of wonder and fun throughout the year with kids? John Lithgow is your awesome guide. Yes, he acts, sings, writes, (it is fabulous or a tad annoying, depending on the kind of day you are having, that any one person can be this good at a variety of things)and he apparently throws a heckava good party as well. At least if you are looking for kid and family friendly activities. Just looking through the library copy of this and thinking - hey, the youngest is twelve and getting all tweeny but it's still not too late to have a palooza or two...time to browse some summer paloozas.
